CHESTNUT HILL ELEMENTARY CHARTER SCHOOL

j2a Architects  along with the council at Chestnut Hill set out to repurpose and expand an abandoned mansion into a K-8 elementary school.  The sloping grades, the stone mansion and carriage house laid the ground work for the guidelines  to create this 50,000 sq. ft facility. The concept of   expanding the lower level preserved the terrace level and all elevation of the existing mansion.
